Good Day,
This will be the most long winded message that I ever post. I generally do not go out soliciting from everyone unless it is charity related to Level III NICUs; specifically those related to Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto, Ontario. For those of you that do not know me very well or have not heard the story: 2 years ago, my wife Christine and I had twin daughters born almost 16 weeks premature weighing 1lb. 7oz. and 1lb. 9oz. We spent almost 5 months commuting to and living at Sunnybrook Hospital watching our girls fight to survive and grow. One of the biggest supports to us during our time there was The Linden Fund, which is a 100% Self-Funded non-profit organization that comes in and supports families going through the toughest times in the NICU. The Linden Fund raises money to help purchase specialized medical equipment as well as items to help with the mental, physical and emotional development of the babies and their families while in the NICU.
Christine and I will taking part in Pedal for Preemies Walk which is a fundraiser for The Linden Fund held at Centennial Park in Toronto on May 30th. To quote Christine: “The Linden Fund was instrumental in supporting our family during Maja's and Alexis' admission in Sunnybrook. They brought glimmers of hope and positivity during the darkest days of our lives. We are forever grateful for their donations of Christmas stockings, a Christmas dinner for NICU parents and staff, seasonal hats, blankets, bibs, and Easter baskets.”
When you enter the Sunnybrook NICU there is a mural painted on the wall of Horton the elephant from Dr. Seuss’ “Horton Hears a Who” with the quote “A person's a person, no matter how small.” If any of you are willing to donate the smallest amount it would make a big difference for all those tiny lives because “a donation’s a donation, no matter how small” as well. You can make a sponsoring donation through the attached link with your credit card.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. Attached is a picture from the girls’ second birthday (December 4th 2012 – Due Date was March 23rd 2013).
